Nov. 6, 2018— CURT, a manufacturer of hitches and towing products, won a Global Media Award this year at the SEMA Show in Las Vegas for its new Echo mobile brake control.
The Echo was engineered to turn the driver’s smartphone into the brake control interface. Its portable, compact design plugs in between any standard 7-way RV blade vehicle-trailer wiring connection. The Echo connects to a smartphone via Bluetooth and uses the Echo Smart Control app to monitor all trailer brake activity.
Compatible with most Apple and Android phones, the Echo can plug in, set up and tow, and it also stores multiple vehicle-trailer profiles for transfer between towing setups.
The International News Media Association (INMA) awards companies for breakthrough results and innovative thinking. CURT received a 2018 Global Media Award from the INMA for the Echo, making it one of the most recognized products at this year’s SEMA Show. It was chosen based on its level of international consumer appeal.
