Oct. 30, 2013—PPG Automotive Refinish released an updated version of the ColorMobile software application on Tuesday, allowing quick and easy mobile retrieval of the most up-to-date PPG color information, the company said in a statement.
The free app, designed for mobile phones and tablets, offers immediate access to all PPG and Nexa Autocolor product information anywhere with an Internet connection.
“We are very excited about the new ColorMobile application and the convenience it offers,” said Mary Kimbro, PPG global color director. “We designed the application for personnel requiring immediate access to vital color information. Sales and technical representatives frequently need to answer color questions any time of the day or while they’re on the road—away from their desktop computers. With ColorMobile, obtaining color information quickly and accurately is easier than ever.”
The app’s general search can be categorized by vehicle manufacturer, OEM/brand codes, model, year, color description and more. Once results are found, the user can view minimum mix quantities, VOC information or email the information directly from the app. The updated version also offers a streamlined searching method based on a user’s individual preferences.
