Nov. 1, 2018—On Wednesday in Las Vegas, Gary Boesel, owner of two CARSTAR locations, claimed the top spot in the 3M Hire Our Heroes 500 charity race, outpacing several industry peers. The race took place at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

The race, which was hosted by 3M and the Collision Repair Education Foundation, raised more than $150,000 for 3M’s Hire Our Heroes Program, which provides scholarships and tool grants for military members who seek to enter the collision repair industry.

All donations for the 3M Hires Our Heroes 500 went to the 3M Hire Our Heroes’ scholarship fund.

This is the sixth year that 3M has partnered with the education foundation in support of the collision repair industry and U.S. military veterans. Since 2013, the 3M Hire Our Heroes program has generated more than $1.2 million for charity.
