August 20, 2018—Centric Parts has just introduced its new air disc brake program for heavy-duty vehicles. The program was introduced by Greg Woo, president of Centric Parts, who noted that this new offering represents the industry’s most complete air disc brake program available for Class 7 and 8 commercial vehicles.

Centric Parts new program features air disc brake pads, rotors and repair kits for all-makes. It adds to a comprehensive range of replacement parts for light, medium and heavy-duty commercial vehicles launched by APC Automotive Technologies in early 2018. The APC program covers all classes of commercial vehicles and includes a wide range of high quality manufactured components from APC’s DieselTech (exhaust and emissions), recently acquired DuraFit (aftertreatment) and Centric Parts (brake systems) brands.

Centric air disc brake pads are available in two grades of application specific friction (106 Series: 23K and 306 Series: 26K) and in over 20 FMSI shapes. The pads are 100 percent FMVSS 121 and ISO 26866 compliant. They feature OE-design coated backing plates to prevent corrosion and pad binding. Centric Parts employs a proprietary PadLock friction retention system to inhibit pad delamination in extreme conditions and adds a Mu 500 bed-in coating to increase initial bite and optimize the burnishing process for smooth, quiet performance.

The Centric Air Disc Brake Rotor line features over 25 SKUs of both coated and uncoated rotors that meet or exceed OEM fit, form and function. They are engineered to incorporate proprietary metallurgy and design enhancements for increased performance, service life and durability. Repair kits include guide pin kits, seals, and tappet kits.
