Tesla Body Shops Now Open

Tesla has opened repair centers for light collision repair in eight states.

August 3, 2018—Tesla body shops have opened in eight states, according to the Tesla website.

The Tesla Body Repair Centers are available for light collision repair in the following cities:

  • Bellevue, Washington
  • Dallas
  • Eatonville, Florida
  • Houston
  • Las Vegas
  • Marietta, Georgia
  • Owings Mills, Maryland
  • Van Nuys, California
  • Villa Park, Illinois

The shops have aluminum welding capability that is evaluated to ensure all safety critical welded joints can meet the OEM specifications along with adhesive and mechanical jointing technology used in the construction of the Tesla vehicle.

The network of Tesla Approved Body Shops have been factory trained and equipped to rebuild Tesla vehicles.

Elon Musk shared additional information on Twitter. He responded to a tweet in which someone owning a Tesla Model 3 and has been waiting 50 days while the vehicle was in the shop. 

Tesla is aiming to go from 30 days and more using external body repair shops to same day body repair with prestocked parts at Tesla service centers, Musk said in the tweet.
