Mitchell 1, AskPatty.com partner to reach female DIY car owners

March 30, 2010

March 30, 2010—Mitchell and AskPatty.com have partnered to promote brand recognition among female car owners.

Mitchell 1 signed an Internet affiliate agreement with AskPatty.com Inc, a website for women to get advice on car purchases, maintenance and other automotive related topics.
AskPatty.com will partner with Mitchell 1’s do-it-yourself program, eAutoRepair.net.

The agreement is beneficial for both companies, as it will help draw additional business to each site and provide brand name recognition among female DIY car owners, said Dave Rady, Mitchell 1 senior account manager of business development. “Reaching this audience is especially important today as the percentage of women vehicle maintainers continues to grow.”

“Women have become nearly every family's chief purchasing officer,” said Jody DeVere, president and CEO of AskPatty.com, based in Thousand Oaks, Calif. “Businesses that do not change their approach to communicate more effectively with women will get left behind and leave themselves open to being over-taken by their competitors.”

Mitchell 1 DIY is an internet-based service that guides users through step-by-step mechanical repair procedures, complete maintenance information and service schedules and the latest factory service tips.
