A Tesla Model S crashed into a parked police car on Tuesday, severely damaging both vehicles in Laguna Beach, Calif.

May 30, 2018—A driver of a Tesla Model S engaged the Autopilot feature and veered into a parked police car on Tuesday, reported USA Today.
The vehicles were severely damaged in the crash in Laguna Beach, Calif., according to the report. The police car was unoccupied and the driver of the Tesla suffered minor injuries.
Tesla released a statement in response to the crash, which stated that drivers must accept a dialogue box before using Autopilot. The dialogue box states that Autopilot is designed for use on highways that have a center divider and clear lane markings.
