Toyota to Build Autonomous Testing Facility in Mich.

The Toyota Research Institute is leasing land from the Michigan Technical Resource Park and building an automated vehicle testing facility there.

May 4, 2018—Toyota is building an autonomous testing facility in southeastern Mich., reported the New Jersey Herald.

The Toyota Research Institute announced Thursday the facility will be built in Monroe County and is expected to open in October, according to the report.

The facility will replicate driving situations deemed too dangerous for public roads.
