The Trump administration said on Monday it would delay a decision to impose steel and aluminum tariffs for another 30 days.

May 1, 2018—The Trump administration said on Monday that it would delay a decision to impose steel and aluminum tariffs for another 30 days, reported the New York Times.

The tariffs, if imposed, would be placed on the European Union, Canada and Mexico, according to the report. The 25 percent tariffs on steel and 10 percent on aluminum were originally going into effect on Tuesday. 

Canada and Mexico remain in negotiations with the U.S. over NAFTA.
