Volkswagen AG is reportedly set to have a new logo, its first such brand alteration in years.

April 23, 2018—Volkswagen AG is reportedly set to have a new logo—its first such brand alteration in six years—as it prepares to unveil its electric car lineup.

The new branding is expected to be revealed next year, according to a report by Autoindustriya.com, as the automaker begins to shift in earnest to electrification.

VW made a modest tweak of its logo in 2012, giving the branding a more three-dimensional appearance. Assuming Volkswagen releases the new logo, it would likely highlight the OEM’s recent technical upgrades.

VW is also set to be launching a new agency to handle creative advertising globally, Autoindustriya.com reported.
