ASRW to participate in International Buyer Program

April 15, 2011

April 15, 2011 — The U.S. Department of Commerce recently selected Automotive Service and Repair Week (ASRW) to take part in the 2012 U.S. Commercial Service’s International Buyer Program (IBP), ASRW announced Friday.

The IBP identifies trade exhibitions they determine are good venues for developing new business relationships, according to a ASRW, which is comprised of the International Autobody Congress and Exposition (NACE) and the Congress of Automotive Repair and Service (CARS).

The Commercial Service staff will work to connect ASRW 2012 exhibitors with international buyers. The IBP will recruit foreign buyers, sales representatives and business partners to the events, which ASRW organizers said should give exhibitors opportunities to expand globally.

Commerce department staff will facilitate meetings between exhibitors and attendees at ASRW 2012.

“Receiving this prestigious designation from the U.S. Department of Commerce reaffirms ASRW's international influence within the industry,” said Ron Pyle, Automotive Service Association (ASA) president and chief staff executive. “This program will bring tremendous momentum to next year's show, as well as provide unprecedented opportunities for some of our future exhibitors.”

This year’s NACE and CARS events are scheduled for Oct. 5-8 at Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Fla. For more information, go to asrwevents.com.
