The Automotive Service Association (ASA) has launched its newest member benefit through an agreement with ContactPoint. Founded in 2001, the St. George, Utah-based company provides sales and service training approved for credit by the Automotive Management Institute (AMI).

“ContactPoint partners with ASA member-shops to provide solid training and coaching to help their sales forces enhance customer service and increase customer loyalty,” says John Scully, ASA executive vice president. “Our ASA members who have partnered with ContactPoint have been extremely excited about the training and follow-up program that led to increased sales.”

ContactPoint is offering a free Customer Sales and Service Appraisal to ASA members. As part of the appraisal, ContactPoint will make three calls posing as a potential customer. Each call will be uploaded to its secure Web site and then scored based on industry best practices. ASA member-shops will be provided a password to the secure site where owners can listen to the calls, view the scores and compare their sales teams with industry averages.

A ContactPoint trainer will then review the calls with management and share tips for turning callers into customers. A specific URL for ASA members has been created to allow members to sign up online for the Customer Sales and Service Appraisal – www.contactpointsolutions.com/asa.

“We have found ASA members are leading the way to improving how they communicate with their customer,” says Jason Wells, CEO of ContactPoint. “ContactPoint works with dozens of ASA service and collision shop professionals who have quickly raised their service advisor skills to bring more cars in the bays with improved telephone skills.”

ContactPoint provides the tools and support for automotive service and repair businesses to increase sales and service. ContactPoint’s Mentor system provides training, call recording, call scoring, coaching and analytics designed to triple sales close ratios and “wow” the customer. Its patented system has been deployed globally across hundreds of locations in the automotive service, tire, auto glass, hospitality and equipment rental industries.

ContactPoint is offering ASA members a variety of discounts on its sales and training services. To take advantage of these discounts, or to learn more about ContactPoint, call the ASA membership department at (800) 272-7467, ext. 295.
