The Lucas Oil Center 001, which is set to open in December, represents a new era in fully integrated, car and light truck total care facilities. The first service center will open in Evansville, Ind. Plans are to expand across Indianna and to many communities across the country.

The center will feature the exclusive use of the full range of Lucas Oil products which work to protect and extend engine, transmission, and other working components' lives; but also clean and beautify automobiles and trucks.

Bill Floyd, one of Lucas Oil Center LLC principals, summed up the new business, "Our goal is to build a facility that will appeal to everyone from the average motorist to a dedicated high performance enthusiast," he says. "We'll offer express, full serve washes, auto and motorcycle detailing, oil change and lube service, as well as minor maintenance service to include brake, cooling and air conditioning system services."

The facility will be set up to handle cars, vans, light trucks, SUVs, RVs and motorcycles. Additionally it will offer performance upgrades, accessories and car care products.

The driving force behind this new venture is veteran automotive aftermarket executive Bill Floyd and his wife, Brenda who has comprehensive local experience in the car washing and detailing business. The Floyds who reside in Warrick County have obtained licensing and support from Forrest and Charlotte Lucas.

"We want a clean and friendly environment the entire family can enjoy" Floyd says. "Each facility will incorporate decor relating to Lucas Oil's involvement in motorsports, (Indianapolis) Colts football, and local sports, with monitors playing HD videos andcurrent news.

Customers will find a relaxed, inviting, atmosphere featuring a full service coffee/snack counter, a kid friendly play zone and even a conference room for various local car and motorcycle clubs to use as a meeting area. Think of it as a cross between a NASCAR race shop and coffee house."
