Surventis partners with WorldSkills Shanghai 2026 to Support Automotive Refinishing Skills
Surventis is partnering with WorldSkills International as a Global Industry Partner and Silver Partner of the 48th WorldSkills Competition in Shanghai, China, according to a news release.
Surventis contributes training capabilities, technical know-how and industry knowledge to help young professionals prepare for successful careers in automotive refinishing through its automotive refinish brand Glasurit. In the lead-up to the 48th WorldSkills Competition in Shanghai, China, taking place from Sept. 22-27, participants in more than 20 countries train on Glasurit 100 Line, the waterborne coating system from Glasurit. Guided by digital learning tools and expert-led, hands-on programs, they gain experience in efficient and sustainable repair processes. Industry partners, including SATA and 3M, round out the preparation program with complementary technologies and industry insights.
“Tomorrow’s refinish professionals need more than technical excellence. They must be able to work efficiently, embrace digital tools and contribute to more sustainable repair processes,” said Steve Arndt, executive vice president Refinish Coatings at Surventis. “Through WorldSkills and Glasurit’s training ecosystem, we help young talent develop these capabilities and prepare for successful careers in our industry. By investing in skills development today, we are helping shape the future workforce of automotive refinishing.”
That commitment extends to the Sustainable Practice Excellence Award, which is backed by Surventis and recognizes participants who combine technical excellence with efficient and responsible working practices.
“Preparing young people for the future of work requires more than teaching technical skills alone. It demands exposure to the technologies that are transforming industries,” said David Hoey, CEO of WorldSkills International. “Glasurit’s continued support of WorldSkills reflects a shared commitment to developing world-class talent through innovation, combining industry-leading technical know-how with AI and digital tools that enhance learning, performance and career readiness. Their contribution is helping shape a new generation of skilled professionals ready to lead the automotive refinish industry into the future.”
