Hyundai recently launched a subscription program that offers consumers a special lease price, auto insurance and service maintenance on multiple vehicle models.
If insurance companies want to remain relevant, they’ll need to partner with OEMs as vehicles become more connected. Otherwise, OEMs will take their own insurance divisions, likely in an effort to push collision work to dealerships.
These subscription plans, of course, typically bundle maintenance costs, insurance, roadside assistance, vehicle tax and registration into a single monthly payment.
This is notable for collision repair because if insurance companies want to remain relevant, they’ll need to partner with OEMs as vehicles become more and more connected.
