Matthew and Marcia Seebachan, key figures in the John Eagle Collision Center court case in recent years, on Tuesday addressed a gathering at CIC and the discussion focused on the importance of following OEM repair procedures.
The session, "The Anatomy of a Lawsuit: The Crucial Details of the $42 Million Verdict," focused on crucial details of the depositions, the trial and the decision-making information presented to the jury that led to the precedent-setting verdict.
“The hidden dangers” of technology and liability were presented in a panel with some of the industry’s most knowledgeable stakeholders including Todd Tracy, of the Tracy Law Firm which handled the acclaimed John Eagle Collision case which recently reached a $42 million verdict.
In the wake of the John Eagle case, the Society for Collision Repair Specialists put together two discussion events at SEMA that will prepare collision repair shops against a similar case and also shed light on liability issues.
