FenderBender Management Conference Closing Speakers Named

The closing session for the 2017 FenderBender Management Conference has been announced.  

Sept. 11, 2017—The closing session for the 2017 FenderBender Management Conference has been announced.  

The closing session, “How They Did It,” which will be delivered on the last day of the conference, will feature four speakers: Dave Mitchell, Kevin Rains, Randy Sattler and Louie Sharp.

The speakers will each present the stories behind how they got their businesses up and running and how what fueled some of the industry’s best-run shops.

Mitchell, CEO and president of Car Guys Collision Repair, has been in the industry for over 35 years. Car Guys collision Repair currently owns and operates 13 locations throughout the North Central Florida, Lakeland and Tampa markets.

Rains, owner of CARSTAR Center City, CARSTAR West Chester and Precision Frame & Body, is a veteran shop owner who also works as an industry consultant focused on helping collision businesses develop and improve their marketing efforts. Rains, a FenderBender columnist, also runs Body Shop 2.0, a business-building website focused on marketing initiatives.

Sattler is the manager at Rydell Collision Center. Sattler has consistently grown his shop each year in volume due to a willingness to experiment with new models and methods while remembering that relationships are the key to a successful business.

Sharp founded his shop, Sharp Auto Body, in 1981 after 20 years of honorable service in the Marines. In addition, Sharp writes an automotive blog for the Lake Country Journal, and delivers his “Car Cents” powerpoint presentation to local clubs, organizations and companies helping people save money on every aspect of their vehicles.

The FenderBender Management Conference, scheduled from Sept. 27-29 in Chicago, will include educational sessions, deep-dive workshops, panel and roundtable discussions, and networking opportunities all aimed at helping shop owners and managers make money, save money and work smarter. Conference sessions and speakers were inspired by the best FenderBender magazine content and the most pressing topics in the industry today.
