Jose Costa to Step Down as Driven Brands Group President

Jose Costa is stepping down as the group president for the Paint & Collision division of Driven Brands. Costa became group president in October 2015, when Driven Brands acquired CARSTAR. Prior to that, he had served as the president of Maaco.

Aug. 25, 2017—Jose Costa is stepping down as the group president for the Paint & Collision division of Driven Brands.

“Jose Costa has left Driven Brands and we will be naming a great successor for that position in the coming weeks," said Debby Robinson, director of corporate communications, Driven Brands. "We wish Jose well in his future endeavors."

Costa became group president in October 2015, when Driven Brands acquired CARSTAR. At the time, the acquisition was huge news, with potential to reshape industry consolidation.

Prior to that, he served as the president of Maaco. Robinson said Costa led the turnaround of Maaco, and orchestrated the CARSTAR Canada acquisition and integration of CARSTAR North America.
