Nationwide, Ed. Foundation Award $50K in Grants

April 11, 2017—The Collision Repair Education Foundation announced on Monday that Nationwide Insurance has made a $50,000 donation to aid the education foundation’s support of collision school programs throughout the U.S. through school grants.

Six schools were supported through the Nationwide school grants. The funds will help the schools’ collision repair programs’ with tools, equipment and supplies. The Nationwide Insurance school grant recipients include:

  • Eastfield College in Mesquite, Texas ($25,000)

  • Tidewater Community College in Chesapeake, Va. ($10,000)

  • Texas State Technical College in Waco, Texas ($5,000)

  • North Idaho College in Coeur d’Alene, Id. ($5,000)

  • Hillsborough Community College in Tampa, Fla. ($2,500)

  • Cape Fear Community College in Wilmington, NC ($2,500)

“Collision industry businesses across the country are seeking properly trained, entry-level collision students for employment and with Nationwide’s help; we are able to better assist instructors who are facing limited budgets and resources within their schools,” said Clark Plucinski, the education foundation’s executive director.
