Chief University Announces Unique Joining Technologies Class

April 3, 2017

April 3, 2017—Collision repair equipment manufacturer Chief Automotive Technologies recently announced plans for the first all-encompassing collision repair class focused on joining technologies. The one-day, Chief University Joining Technologies class is designed to provide estimators and appraisers a complete understanding of current welding, riveting, and adhesive bonding and removal technologies.

“We are constantly updating the training curriculum at Chief University to keep pace with the OEM changes in vehicle design, technology and materials,” said Ken Boylan, global training manager.

The Joining Technologies course is a combination of classroom and hands-on experiences in multiple new joining disciplines. Each student will have the chance to take part in steel and aluminum welding and brazing, performing spot welds, installing blind rivets, and more.

Chief University training is certified by the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) for compliance with the Continuing Automotive Service Education (CASE) Standards. The new Chief University class is approved for I-CAR credit hours through the I-CAR Industry Training Alliance program. The eight-hour class costs $395, and the next session will begin April 13, in Lewis Center, Ohio. For more information on the Chief University courses, click here.
