Car-O-Liner Supports WorldSkills Autobody Repair Contestants

June 7, 2013—Collision repair equipment provider Car-O-Liner recently trained two representatives from the United States and Canada who will compete in the Autobody Repair skill at the 42nd WorldSkills Competition during the Leipzig Trade Fair and Exhibition in Leipzig, Germany, July 2-7.

Car-O-Liner said Canadian competitor Jordy Bartman  visited its training academy in Wixom, Mich., for three days of hands-on training. Bartman currently works as an apprentice auto body technician at Brooks Collision and is a student at the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology in Alberta, Canada.

In addition, Car-O-Liner said U.S. competitor George Mason received training from Carolina Collision Equipment, a regional distributor of Car-O-Liner products in North Carolina and South Carolina. Mason currently works at Gilbert Paint & Body in Gilbert, S.C., and is a student at Lexington Technology Center in Lexington, S.C.

More than 1,000 competitors from more than 50 countries are expected to participate in the 2013 WorldSkills Competition, which includes skills competitions in 45 vocational occupation areas such as automotive, manufacturing, information technology, transportation, construction, creative arts and social services. In the WorldSkills Autobody Repair contest, competitors demonstrate various structural and body panel repair skills.

Car-O-Liner said it will be the main sponsor of the Autobody Repair contest during the WorldSkills competition for the third year. The company will provide 23 collision repair systems to be used during the competition, including the Quick42 alignment bench, Car-O-Tronic Vision electronic measuring system, and CTR12000 Resistance Spot Welder.
