CIC Announces January Agenda

Jan. 9, 2017

Jan. 9, 2017—The agenda for the Collision Industry Conference’s (CIC) January meeting in Palm Springs, Calif. has been released. On Thursday, Jan. 12, following general committee updates for the new year, a panel discussion on pre- and post-repair scanning and diagnostic procedures will be held.

The new Emerging Technologies Committee invites all of its stakeholders to attend the discussion taking place on Thursday, at 10:45 PST.

Approximately 30 participants, from segments including OEMs, repairers, equipment companies, trade groups and insurers, have been working together to discuss the topic, identify issues and possible solutions.

The goals of this discussion are to educate and inform all interested parties; to protect the consumer and enable proper repairs; and to reduce friction between all parties in the claims, customer service and repair processes.

“The work of this group is critical to our industry,” said Guy Bargnes of Painter’s Supply & Equipment Company and incoming CIC Chairman. “The issues of scanning and diagnostic procedures are among the most critical facing the collision repair industry today. We must get our collective arms around this issue and we invite all interested parties to participate.”

Those interested in participating, please contact the committee at [email protected].
