Dec. 28, 2016—Three individuals in Eastern Tennessee recently received refurbished vehicles, as part of National Benevolence Week, when previously totaled vehicles are repaired and donated to individuals in need.
Volunteer Rides founder Jeff Mynatt told The Daily Times of Maryville, Tenn., that the goal of the aforementioned giveaway was to create a way for the collision repair industry to give back to that community. The vehicles’ recipients were chosen from Knox Area Rescue Mission’s Serenity long-term addiction program and the Cerebral Palsy Center.
Insurers State Farm and Traveller’s both donated vehicles in Tennessee, while AKZONobel provided the necessary paint.
