Service King Donates Vehicle to Md. Family

Dec. 23, 2016

Dec. 23, 2016—Service King Collision Repair Centers on Wednesday provided a refurbished vehicle to a single mother and her 15-month-old son in Waldorf, Md.

Keys to a refurbished, 2011 Nissan Versa were presented to Jessica Elder and her son, who was born with Down Syndrome and a heart condition. Prior to the donation, Elder did not have a vehicle at her disposal.

“When our teammates heard her story, they immediately jumped at the opportunity to make this special day happen,” said Matt Robbins, Service King’s market vice president.

The presentation was part of Service King’s continued participation with the National Auto Body Recycled Rides initiative, which connects auto insurers, collision repair companies and parts vendors in an effort to donate and restore vehicles for those in need. Elder and her son were identified by the Catherine Foundation prior to Wednesday’s donation.
