Ed. Foundation to Host an Open House for Makeover Grant Winner

Sept. 22, 2015

Sept. 22, 2015—The Collision Repair Education Foundation announced on Monday it will be hosting an open house at Thaddeus Stevens College of Technology (Lancaster, Pa.) on Friday, Oct. 2. The open house will be in recognition of their 2014 Ultimate Collision Education Makeover school grant award.

“We are honored to receive this makeover grant from the Collision Repair Education Foundation,” said William Griscom, Thaddeus Stevens College of Technology president. “Our Collision Repair Technology program is celebrating its 50th anniversary at College this year and to have this grant bring our shop into the 21st century is greatly appreciated. In addition to our students learning from the I-CAR curriculum, we can now ensure they are being trained on state-of-the-art equipment, which strongly enhances their chances of finding employment after graduation.”

“We are very proud of the transformation of the Thaddeus Stevens College of Technology collision program,” said Clark Plucinksi, Collision Repair Education Foundation director. “This Makeover award has taken their program to the next level and we will continue to work with the school to ensure the students coming out of the program have opportunities to become employed in the industry. I invite all industry members to join me at the event to see firsthand the transformation of the program.”

Collision industry members can RSVP to the event by emailing Melissa Marscin by Sept. 23.
