Oct. 26, 2016

Oct. 26, 2016—The Collision Repair Education Foundation has announced its second annual 3M Hire Our Heroes fundraiser and has named the winners of its Collision Student of the Year award.

Since 2013, 3M and the Ed. Foundation have donated over $750,000 to military veterans and their families to be used toward scholarships and tool grants. With a donation of $200 to the Ed. Foundation, participants will donate to a worthy cause and receive a commemorative calendar that contains approximately $1,700 worth of monthly deals on 3M products.

Shops interested in participating can purchase their calendar through a $200 donation here.

The Collision Student of the Year award recognizes students that are currently studying collision repair and have been nominated by their collision instructor. The winners and the nominating instructor will receive a trip to SEMA and be honored at the Ed. Foundation’s evening reception on Nov. 1.

The winners are:

  • Alan Simmerman, Sentinel Career and Technology Center (Tiffin, Ohio)
  • Anna Michalski, Western Area Career and Technology (Canonsburg, Pa.)
