Snap-on Releases Software Upgrade 15.4

Oct. 6, 2015—Snap-on has released its new Software Upgrade 15.4, the company announced on Monday. The upgrade intends provide the broadest coverage, the company said, to help technicians see faults more clearly and make fixes quicker.

This latest software upgrade covers 21 domestic, 15 Asian and optional coverage for 11 European makes.

“Out of the box and miles down the road, technicians that are outfitted with Snap-on diagnostic tools and the latest software upgrade, such as 15.4, are ready to take on any job that rolls in their bay with confidence,” said Mark Schaefer, director of marketing, Snap-on Diagnostics.

Software Upgrade 15.4 gives technicians access to over 105,380 new codes, tests, tips and data for model years 2000 to 2015 with the most extensive coverage outside the factory tool, including but not limited to:

  • Ford Passive Anti-Theft System (PATS) Key Relearn
  • Chrysler HVAC
  • 38 new Ford 6.7L Engine Functional Tests
  • Ford and Mazda Transmission
  • GM (Buick) Left and Right Side Object Detection
  • Mazda UDS Antilock Brake System (ABS)
  • Mitsubishi  Functional Tests
  • Chrysler Air Suspension
  • Chrysler Body Control Module (BCM) Configuration
  • Honda Keyless Entry and Push Start
  • Hyundai and Kia 4WD

The upgrade also features 2015 coverage for GM, Infiniti, Lexus, Mazda, Nissan, Scion, Subaru, Suzuki and Toyota.

The exclusive Fast-Track Troubleshooter coverage goes back to 1980 with 29,200 new tips and timesavers. The new software offers 52,830 Guided Component Tests, EVAP systems and body systems sub codes, and Guided Component Tests for hybrid electrical and enhanced body electrical systems in domestic, Asian and European models.

SureTrack is integrated in all VERSUS family products, VERDICT family products, MODIS Ultra and SOLUS Edge and comes with a current Snap-on Software Upgrade.
