CAPA Names New Board Member

Sept. 3, 2013—Mike Schoonover of Schoonover Bodyworks and Glass in St. Paul, Minn., was elected as the newest member of the Certified Automotive Parts Association (CAPA) board of directors. 

Schoonover is a third-generation family business owner of Schoonover Bodyworks and Glass, which was started by his Grandfather, Chuck Schoonover, in 1938.  After growing up in the shop, Schoonover joined the shop fulltime working with the sales, marketing and management aspects after finishing school at the University of Minnesota-Duluth.

Schoonover has received a large variety of industry training and has served on various boards and committees.

“Mike brings an extraordinary amount of hands-on knowledge of the repair industry to CAPA’s Board. We are thrilled to have Mike join CAPA,” said Clark Plucinski, president of CAPA’s board of directors.
