CDS’ Rodenroth Receives Award

Nov. 21, 2016—Collision Diagnostic Services’ director of client services, Jake Rodenroth, recently earned the Robert Author Smith award. The honor was presented at the 2016 SEMA Show.

Rodenroth, of Jacksonville, Fla., has been immersed in the industry for most of his life, and began his career as a technician for Mercedes-Benz at the age of 18. Later, Rodenrath enjoyed stints with Osteen’s Auto Body, AES and ABRA Auto Body & Glass. He joined Collision Diagnostic Services in 2015, and is responsible for the training, product integration and sales of the asTech2 device.

“He’s willing to roll his sleeves up and help anyone at any time. We’re lucky to have him on our team,” said Dan Young, vice president of sales and marketing at CDS, in reference to Rodenroth.

The award’s namesake, Robert Author Smith, was an instructor at the Fox Valley Technical College in Appleton, Wis., who also taught I-CAR classes.
