May 5, 2016—Axalta announced Wednesday that it will showcase a 1932 Ford Roadster painted in 1956 Thunderbird Peacock Blue with Axalta’s Cromax ChromaPremier basecoat at the 26th Annual Cruisin’ Ocean City hot rod show in Ocean City, Md., May 19-22.
Paul Quinn of Design Brilliance will pinstripe the car at the show.
The car’s owner, Bill Towers, was selected as Detroit Autorama’s Painless Performance/STREET RODDER Top 100 winner.
Cruisin’ Ocean City attracts more than 3,400 custom cars, hot rods and classics from 20 states and Canada.
Axalta will showcase its refinish brands, including Cromax, Standox, Spies Hecker, and its Hot Hues color line. Axalta will also feature its 2016 Paint Outside the Can Contest for automotive painters across the U.S. and Canada to use Axalta-branded coating systems to paint and decorate an unused, one-gallon paint can.
