May 29, 2015—A Virginia collision repair shop owner has garnered regional attention for what many are calling an act of extraordinary generosity.
Katie Quinton, co-owner of Extreme Collision in Woodbridge, Va., was featured on Fox 5 news for donating her personal vehicle—a 2011 Honda Pilot—to a family in need. Quinton gave the SUV to the Newsome family so they could transport their daughter, Lauren, to and from leukemia treatments.
“They need it. I don’t,” Quinton said in the Fox report.
As has been written about in FenderBender, consumers gravitate toward shops that give back to their communities. It’s not the reason Xtreme Collision reached out to the Newsome family, but it has given the shop some much-deserved attention.
“The definition of true wealth is the gratification you get from helping others,” said Chris Milleson, who co-owns Extreme Collision with Quinton.
