May 5, 2015—Nineteen collision industry veterans, along with local businesses and advocates, will host the 2015 Auto Collision Experience, an event open to the public at Pennsylvania's Technical College High School Brandywine Campus on Saturday.
This event, which is free to the public, aims to showcase the variety of career paths available in the automotive industry.
Kirk Williard, the director of career, technical and customized education for the Chester County Intermediate Unit, explained in a release what can be expected at the event: “There will be multiple opportunities for students to interact with trained professionals showcasing the unique talents and skills that lead to great success in this very dynamic industry.”
Those attending will hear about careers in the industry, attend workshops and participate in vendor booth demonstrations.
Additionally, as part of the National Auto Body Council Recycled Rides Program sponsored by Geico, the TCHS Brandywine Automotive Collision Technology students will also present two fully restored cars to two Chester County families in need. The ceremonies will begin at noon and will also include gift cards and prizes. Pre-registered guests are automatically entered in a drawing for an iPad Mini. Food and drink will be provided and prepared by TCHS Culinary Arts Students.
The event will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday. The campus is located at 443 West Boot Road in Brandywine, Pa.
