May 14, 2015—LaMettry’s Collision, an eight-location network in the Minneapolis area, will present a Recycled Ride to the mother of a fallen soldier.
Sergeant First Class Mickey E. Zaun died on January 28, 2005 from injuries sustained during an armoured vehicle collision in Iraq.
Prior to his death, his mother, Cheryl Zaun of Eden Prairie, Minn., was in a bike accident and a car accident that resulted in serious injuries. Due to these injuries, she is unable to work and lives on disability.
Together with local vendors and Farmers Insurance, LaMettry’s will donate a fully restored 2009 Nissan Altima to Cheryl Zaun a part of the National Auto Body Council’s Recycled Ride Program.
The keys will be handed over May 19 at EP Auto Tire & Glass. This is the fifth vehicle that LaMettry’s has repaired and donated.
