Sherwin-Williams to Hold EcoLean Workshops at NASCAR Team Headquarters

May 6, 2014

May 6, 2014—Sherwin-Williams Automotive Finishes announced on Monday that it will hold two EcoLean Collision Services Level 1 workshops on June 17–18, one at Joe Gibbs Racing and the other at Michael Waltrip Racing, both located in Charlotte, N.C.

The EcoLean Level 1 workshops are offered to collision center owners and dealer managers from across the U.S. and Canada. They are designed to educate attendees on how to maximize profitability by improving production and eliminating waste throughout their facilities.

These Charlotte sessions will also feature unique hands-on and behind-the-scene tours and discussions with team techs from two of NASCAR’s leading Sprint Cup, Nationwide and Camping World Truck racing series.

“We aim to give our EcoLean Collision Services workshop attendees an extensive and comprehensive look at how they can create a lean environment in their own facility,” says Greg Eisenhardt, marketing manager of the A-Plus Network Program, Sherwin-Williams Automotive Finishes. “This event is particularly special and it is a rare opportunity for many. Our attendees will be able to learn lean principles while engaging with our business consultants to help overcome implementation challenges while visiting two high-powered, efficient racing facilities: Joe Gibbs Racing and Michael Waltrip Racing.”

The EcoLean Level 1 workshop curriculum includes:

  • An overview of lean production and its practical application in collision repair
  • Approaches to making a collision facility more efficient and consistent
  • How to build a lean culture from the ground up
  • A workshop to help shop owners overcome implementation challenges
