March 25, 2014

March 25, 2014—I-CAR on Tuesday released details and the start date of its new collision repair training program for the 2015 Ford F-150.

The 2015 Ford F-150 Structural Repair course will open June 1. The six-credit hour course covers all topics on aluminum and vehicle-specific repair information. I-CAR said the instructor-led course uses discussion, education and decision-making exercises to properly equip technicians.

I-CAR said it worked alongside Ford Motor Company engineers to create a training solution for the new aluminum-body vehicle.

“For a revolutionary vehicle like the 2015 Ford F-150, material-specific training that highlights the unique processes associated with aluminum repair is critical for the front-line professionals faced with safely repairing these vehicles," said Jason Bartanen, director of industry and technical relations at I-CAR.
