Las Vegas, Nov. 3, 2011—VeriFacts Automotive on Thursday announced the winners of its Achievement in Collision Repair Excellence (ACE) awards during the 2011 SEMA Show.

The specific awards and winners are as follows:

• The March Taylor Technician ACE Award was presented to Steve Offenhauser of Latuff Brothers Auto Body in Saint Paul, Minn.

“Steve is a very talented and dedicated technician and has been in the collision industry for 28 years. Steve is a graduate of Dakota County Technical College’s collision repair program, an I-CAR Platinum Individual and an ASE Master Certified technician. He was also the 1983 National VICA Champion,” said Audie Swedeen, director of operations for VeriFacts.

• The VeriFacts Repair Center ACE award was presented to DC Autocraft in Burbank, Calif.

“DC Autocraft’s commitment to excellent repairs shows in every one of their repairs. Whether working on a high-end exotic or conventional car, they insist on the same repair standards. The entire organization takes tremendous pride in their repair practices, integrity and fixing it right the first time. They score very high across all categories in our monthly assessments and are always open to learning more. They are a great organization and certainly worthy of the award. We congratulate them in their recent achievement of VeriFacts VQ Medallion,” said Mark Olson, chief operating officer of VeriFacts Automotive.

The VeriFacts ACE awards were established to recognize outstanding performance from individual technicians and collision repair centers committed to attaining higher repair quality as measured through the VeriFacts Shop Coaching Program.

To qualify for an ACE Award, collision repair centers must participate in the VeriFacts Shop Coaching Program for at least six months, according to VeriFacts. The technician and repair center that scored highest in their respective categories were presented the top award. Finalists were recognized with a Certificate of Repair Excellence.
