June 2, 2016

June 2, 2016—PPG announced Wednesday that it has introduced its new P190-6950 Extended Performance Clearcoat, engineered specifically for use over AQUABASE Plus waterborne basecoat.

“This is a remarkable premium clearcoat,” said Tim Jones, Automotive Refinish segment manager. “P190-6950 is a perfect match for PPG collision centers that use our Aquabase Plus waterborne system. Its proven technology ensures outstanding gloss retention and a luxurious appearance. We’re confident that our customers will find that this new clearcoat gives them unsurpassed quality and a significant production advantage.”

Part of the NEXA AUTOCOLOR line of products, the P190-6950 clearcoat is best suited for large repairs and can be applied in any booth condition, including extreme heat and humidity, when used with P850-69XX reducers. It is derived from and has the same attributes as the P190-6930 Performance Clearcoat.
