GM Approves BASF Glasurit, R-M Finishes

June 9, 2016—BASF announced Wednesday that its Glasurit and R-M automotive refinish systems received global approval from General Motors after a technical review. 

“Glasurit and R-M paint systems consistently provide the top quality finishes required by GM,” said Jeff Wildman, BASF manager of OEM and industry relations.

GM’s paint engineering reviewed and approved BASF’s test process for its Glasurit and R-M automotive refinish products. All tested products were approved into 2017.
