BASF Opens Houston Competence Center with Chip Foose, KC Mathieu

June 14, 2016

June 14, 2016—BASF held an open house and ribbon-cutting ceremony for its new Houston competence center, an event highlighted by appearances from Chip Foose of Foose Design and KC Mathieu, previously featured on Discovery Channel’s “Fast N’ Loud.”

“Our new competence center in the Southwest illustrates our commitment, not only to the automotive refinish market, but also to our distributors and collision repair shops in the area,” Chris Toomey, BASF senior vice president, Coating Solutions North America, said. “It’s great to have Chip and KC here to highlight their commitment to Glasurit and R-M.  We’re honored that top designers and restorers exclusively use BASF paint systems.”

The 13,000-square-foot building opened in March and includes the latest virtual and in-person training facilities and state-of-the-art equipment to provide training for all job functions in the collision repair industry.
