AASP/NJ Holds Fifth Annual Race Night

June 20, 2016

June 20, 2016—The Alliance of Automotive Service Providers of New Jersey (AASP/NJ) hosted its fifth Annual Race Night last week at Pole Position Raceway in Jersey City, N.J.

The annual event is held to boost camaraderie between automotive repair shops. This year’s event also raised $1,000 to donate to fighting prostate cancer.

Following practice and qualifying, the top two racers from each qualifier raced in the finale. Winners were Brian Natale, Pace Collision, in first place; Pedro Suares, Maxon Mazda/Hyundai, in second; and Kyle Bossick, Ocean Bay Auto Body, in third place.

“This is one of my favorite nights of the year,” AASP/NJ president Jeff McDowell said. “It really gets our minds off the job for a couple of hours and lets us relax, compete and have fun. We came up worth the idea to donate this year because so many friends and members of AASP/NJ have been affected with prostate cancer over the years. It gives us an opportunity to give back.”
