June 3, 2015—CARSTAR Auto Body Repair Experts has again been named to the Kansas City Business Journal’s Top 150 Private Companies, coming in at 18th.
CARSTAR ranked 20th in 2014. This year’s list also ranks CARSTAR as the top automotive company.
The ranking is based on revenue for 2014. CARSTAR ended its 25th anniversary year in 2014 with record sales, growth and industry performance. Revenues increased from $649 million in 2013 to $712 million in 2014, nearly 10 percent.
2014’s success can be attributed to increases in repair volumes from the top 25 insurance carriers, driven by CARSTAR’s EDGE Performance Group platform and continued KPI performance, the company said in a release. Many CARSTAR locations have a net promoter score (NPS) repeatedly over 90 perfect—a full 10 points higher than the industry average. A new branding campaign has also been bringing attention to CARSTAR with an emphasis on areas for customer service and amenities.
For 2015, the CARSTAR operations team has expanded its EDGE Performance Group platform, with the goal of continuing to raise the bar in the CARSTAR CCC initiative, which focuses on cycle time, closing ratio, and CSI/NPS scoring. CARSTAR remains the only MSO in the country with its own aluminum certification program.
