1Collision Presents Refurbished Vehicle to Former Homeless Family

June 23, 2015

June 23, 2015—On June 5, a former homeless family received a newly refurbished vehicle from 1Collision County Line and MetLife through the National Auto Body Council’s Recycled Rides Program.

The 2006 Honda CRV was presented to the family at 1Collision County Line’s facility in Menomonee Falls, Wis.

LeeAnne Petri, her fiance, Michael Roth, and their three children had their lives turned upside down when they became homeless. In October of 2014, the family received help from Family Promise of Washington County, providing shelter and support to the family for 10 weeks until they were able to make the move into their own home in Hartford.

“Reliable transportation is something many of us take for granted but for families who do not have this luxury, it can be a daily challenge” said Jim Keller Jr. from 1Collision County Line.  “We are proud to partner with MetLife to ease this burden for this deserving family.”

Metlife donated the 2006 Honda CR that was refurbished by 1Collision County Line team members who volunteered to repair the vehicle. Vehicle parts were donated by 1Collision County Line, Nik’s Auto Parts, David Hobbs Honda, and Premier Auto Glass.
