Church Brothers Raise $11,000 for Wounded Warriors

June 30, 2014

June 30, 2014—Church Brothers Collision Repair announced Sunday it raised $11,000 for the Wounded Warrior Project (WWP) during its inaugural car show.

The car show drew over 280 entries at the Church Brothers’ Shadeland Avenue shop in Indianapolis, surpassing the company’s expectations.

“We were expecting around 120 entries and would have been thrilled with that number,” said Dan Hall, Church Brothers Collision Repair co-owner. “Luckily, we were prepared for more, and were absolutely delighted with the actual turnout and the amount ultimately raised for the Wounded Warrior Project.”

Every dollar raised at the event went toward the WWP, which assists veterans in receiving mental and physical health services, as well as career training and information on veteran benefits. Church Brothers matched the $5,500 in donations the event brought in, bringing the total to $11,000. The gift was presented to a group of active-duty Indiana National Guard men and women.

Halls said Church Brothers plan to make the event recurring.

“We’re going to be getting our car show committee together soon to discuss what worked well and what we can do even better,” he said, “and we definitely will be back next year!”
