VW Approves Sherwin-Williams Automotive Finishes

July 26, 2016—Sherwin-Williams announced Tuesday that its automotive finishes have received technical approval from Volkswagen Group for use at Volkswagen Group certified collision repair facilities. 

The announcement was the result of Sherwin-Williams’ performance in testing to meet the VW Group specifications. Along with automotive finishes, Sherwin-Williams will provide certified collision repair shops with verified color support, as well as product and management training. 

“We’re very pleased that Volkswagen Group has certified us and look forward to supporting its dealerships and certified collision centers,” Tom Hablitzel, president and general manager of Sherwin-Williams Automotive Finishes, said. “The new partnership demonstrates the trust Volkswagen Group places in our products and will help expand our reach around the globe.”
