July 30, 2015—D&S Automotive Collision & Restyling (locations in Cleveland and Mentor, Ohio) donated $5,000 to University Hospital’s Rainbow Babies & Children’s Hospital of Cleveland after hosting its Second Annual Cruise-In for Rainbow Babies on July 25.
“It’s important to me to give back to Rainbow Babies because they took great care of my daughter when she was born,” CJ Paterniti, D&S vice president, said. “The children there are precious and they deserve the best care.”
Seventy-eight vehicles were registered for the event and over 100 unique cars filled the lot. The vehicles were entered in five classes: Classic, Trucks, Muscle, Tuner, and Lifted Vehicles. Trophies were presented to the top three in each class.
The event raised $2,000 for UH Rainbow Babies & Children’s Hospital through registrations fees, a 50/50 raffle, a silent auction, and a prize raffle. All raffle prizes were donated by local businesses. D&S matched the $2,000 and its sister company, Defender Auto Glass, donated an additional $1,000.
