Nick Notte to Join PDR Industry

July 30, 2014

July 30, 2014—Nick Notte has retired as president of Sterling Autobody Centers and has joined International Paintless Dent Repair (IPDR) as executive vice president and chief operating officer.

Notte made the announcement Wednesday during the 2014 NACE/CARS Expo & Conference in Detroit.

Notte will work alongside Valerie Hoover, CEO of the IPDR, and James LaPaglia, executive vice president overseeing field operations.

“I believe PDR is in its infancy,” said Notte in an exclusive interview with FenderBender. “It’s a very fragmented industry. It’s almost as the collision repair industry was in this country 25 years ago.“

Notte said that IPDR will engage the market through insurance companies with a focus on controlling costs, improving cycle times and enhancing customer satisfaction.

“We’re trying to launch a very solid, nationwide company that will be recognized as state of the art by the insurers and the dent repair buying public,” Notte said. “We plan on being very transparent to the industry and we’d like to partner with insurance companies. I believe my background is good for this company in that I will be able to make inroads with insurance companies.“

The company also plans to give back to the communities they service through charitable efforts.

“We’ve assembled a dream team of management with extremely high qualifications,” Hoover said. “Now we’re in a position to take this underdeveloped industry to a new level of high standards and accountability.”
