July 10, 2014—The Collision Repair Education Foundation announced Wednesday that a memorial fund has been set up in honor of Troy Holm, a collision industry member who passed away in March 2013.
The memorial fund was started by PartsTrader, which donated $5,000 to the Education Foundation in honor of Holm, who worked at PartsTrader at the time of his death. Money from the fund will go toward assisting collision repair and refinishing students who qualify to compete at future SkillsUSA competitions, but cannot afford to attend.
“We believe this is a wonderful way to honor Troy’s legacy and his life-long commitment to the collision repair industry,” said Dale Sailer, PartsTrader’s vice president of business development. “Troy was hugely passionate about the good and valuable work that the men and women of this industry do each day, and the opportunity to help the future generations of collision repair professionals who share his passion represents a great way to always hold Troy in our collective memory.”
