DJS Fabrications Owner Dies in Plane Crash

July 10, 2014

July 10, 2014—Doug Symiczek, owner of DJS Fabrications, passed away in a private plane crash on July 6 in Lake Elsinore, Calif., along with his two sons-in-law, Kyle Parton and Jacob Griffiths.

The three were flying from French Valley to Corona Airport and back for breakfast before they planned to enjoy a day on Lake Elsinore. The family told the Press Enterprise that initial reports suggest the plane’s single engine may have failed.

Symiczek, 49, had flown planes since 1990.

Symiczek’s wife, Kim, said she will keep DJS Fabrications open in her husband’s honor.

A fundraiser has been set up for the family. Donations can be made at gofundme.com/dougjacobkyle.
