Chief Rolls Out New Tech Support Program

July 3, 2014

July 3, 2014—Chief Automotive Technologies announced Wednesday that it will begin offering a technical support package with its new LaserLock Live Mapping system.

LaserLock offers computerized collision repair measuring and can be used with a two-post lift for blueprinting repair plans. LaserLock also includes:

  • A computer
  • Dual flat screen monitors
  • Forty-five targets with various attachments
  • A color printer
  • Chief software
  • An aluminum collet kit is available as an option for use with vehicles manufactured with aluminum, carbon fiber or other non-ferrous materials.

Chief also announced it will also provide its E-Access technical support package at no charge to those who purchase its new LaserLock Live Mapping system.

The offer, which the company said will be available for a limited time, is valued at $399 and gives users access to Chief technical support professionals through the E-Access system. Through the package, Chief support staff can remotely view a measuring system’s display and provide guidance or take control of the measuring system to address an issue. Once the product is installed, there are no subscriptions or extra charges for E-Access, and it can be used for the life of the measuring system.

“We have found that issues are resolved using E-Access in half the time it takes to work things out over the phone,” said Lee Daugherty, global data product manager for Chief parent company Vehicle Service Group. “Since E-Access use is unlimited, Chief’s support staff can be called upon anytime you have questions about measuring, or concerns with your measuring results or with the measuring equipment itself. The versatile service takes all the worry out of upgrading your measuring system.”
