Chief Announces Details, Classes for NACE

July 9, 2014

July 9, 2014—Chief Automotive Technologies will offer two free classes and several product discounts at the 2014 NACE/CARS Expo & Conference, the company announced Tuesday.

Chief’s classes and featured products will focus on repairing modern vehicles, including those with aluminum bodies.

“Manufacturers are increasingly using aluminum and advanced high-strength steels in vehicle construction,” says Bob Holland, director of collision in North and South America for Chief and Elektron parent company Vehicle Service Group (VSG). “Properly repairing these metals requires new equipment and techniques. NACE attendees will see that Chief and Elektron can provide tools and training needed to prepare their shops for the future.”

Two free trainings will be held at Chief’s booth, number 20021. The schedule will be:

  • July 30 from 10:30 a.m. to noon: “Aluminum 2014” will focus on repairing aluminum components.
  • July 31 from 10:30 a.m. to noon: “Design-Based Repair” focuses on damage analysis and repair planning for late-model vehicles.

Chief will also offer deals on several products, including full-size frame racks, structural holding packages, spot welders and its LaserLock Live Mapping system.
